A fine wine region in the North-East of France that features quite a unique blend of French and German influences. The grapes primarily consist of The four “noble” grapes of Alsace—Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat, and Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir for reds. Traditional cuisine includes Choucroûte Garnie, Tarte à l’oignon, Bäckeoffe, Tarte aux Poires and Coq au Riesling to name a few.
