Rust Wine Co. and are a single vineyard wines from around the Okanagan. Roast meats meets lavender potpourri in this giant red, grown on the Black Sage Bench. Restrained this is not, rather going for a big, punchy, earthy, rooty, herbal red, floated by coffee, creamed corn, and pitch to a warm finish. Though I appreciate waxed tops on some wines, not when I have to spend a while chipping off a thick cap of soft wax only to find another wax-tipped topped cork underneath. Not so user-friendly, unless you need a big bruiser red to partner with your grilled beef.
